The DNR stocks 800,000 walleye fry yearly. Natural reproduction does not keep up with the walleye population. In 2026 the DNR will start stocking walleye fingerlings.
2026 Fishing Opener is May 9
Walleyes between 16 - 19 inches must be released immediately.
