Starry stonewort scuba dive survey pictures and vieo

On September 8, 2025, the FILIA board members voted to hire Ellie Joing , Watershed Management & Wetland Specialist of Aitkin County Soil and Water District, to scuba dive to perform an AIS inspection, specifically starry stonewort, at the north and south public accesses. The survey was done Sept. 13. Ellie provided a great report, with a detailed map of where she looked.  The results were that starry stonewort was not observed at either boat launch, indicating that it has not found its way into Farm Island Lake at this time.
